Emilia Celona is an Italian DJ, creator and cultural entrepreneur based in Barcelona. With her project Omvra, she dives into electronic music from a dark-toned experimental perspective. Her aesthetic vision is summarised in “towards the light, through the shadow”, music as an experience of collective catharsis. She is currently working on the recording and production of “sonorous instants” in which electronic music and voice are structured in an intimate, personal and raw way, while collaborating with other producers (like Esteros Live Project and Zhanna Dymchenko). She is also part of “T Project”, a multidisciplinary play she is co-creating with other two artists in the role of composer and performer.
In 2020 she founded KemiCult, a project halfway between an agency and a production company specialized in events with headphones with the aim of promoting conscious listening of
music and the creation of new audiovisual formats. As Omvra she performed in Barcelona (Macarena, City Hall, Sala Instinto, Slow Club, The Garage of the Bass Valley, This Side Up, Ameba Park Fest, Bug Festival among others), Madrid (La Casa Encendida), Ibiza (Dunes), Berlin (Rummels Bucht, Minimal Bar), Lisbon (East Side Radio), Amsterdam (Easy Time) and Paris (Palais Brongniart).
